Two pianists are wilder than one... Edward and Stephanie have performed as a duo across three continents. Their repertoire encompasses all the standard four hand and two piano repertoire as well as orchestral transcriptions as well as Broadway songs.
Stephanie has won virtually all major piano competitions in Indonesia, including the first prize in the prestigious Yamaha National Piano Competition when she was only six-years old (the youngest winner ever). Recently, she won the first prize at the Empire State International Piano Competition, NJMTA Young Musicians Competition, and Lillian Fuchs Chamber Music Competition in the United States.
Stephanie began her musical training at the age of two with her mother, Elly Lim. Stephanie performed for the former Indonesian President Soeharto at the Presidential and Ministerial Gathering, raising funds for the needy. In this country, she performed at the Aspen Music Festival in 1998, 2003, and 2004, where she was a full scholarship student of the chairman of the piano faculty at the Juilliard School.
Stephanie was invited to appear as a soloist with the Jakarta Chamber Orchestra. She has been selected to perform in masterclasses by world-renown pianists, such as Oxana Yablonskaya, Alexander Kobrin, Leslie Howard, Russell Sherman, Martijn Van Den Hoek, among others. She was awarded the Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music. Currently, she is studying with Prof. James Tocco and Dr. Hendry Wijaya, while pursuing her Master of Music degree as a scholarship student at Manhattan School of Music in New York City.
